Only Audrey could have me excited about attending a country concert. I've actually grown to like Taylor Swift over the past year or so. This was Audrey's first concert. It was a hit for sure. She especially loved the fact that Taylor changed her outfit about 15 times during the show. Every time she went back stage Audrey would say, "I wonder what dress she'll wear next?" It was fun to watch her dance around and sing the songs, even if she did mess up 50% of the words. Hopefully she'll always like this wholesome type of music. I'm not counting on it though.
Since I'm so busy, this blog acts as my baby book and scrapbook. As time flies by, I want to document all the little things in life.

SIX!!!
Audrey turned 6 on May 25 (I'm just a little behind). Oh how time flies. Audrey is the smartest, cutest and smiliest six year old any parent could ask for. We are so happy she is ours!
There were numerous celebrations - school, dance, grandparent and friend parties. Her big present was her new bike. She learned to ride without training wheels this spring. She got good on her little bike and her knees where just about touching the handle bars so it was time to upgrade to the 16 incher. She was very excited about the "pinkness" of this bike. She's a good rider and we've gone on many 3 mile plus bike rides over the past month.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUDREY!!
I Just Wanna Be Your Teddy Bear
Here are pictures from her dance recital. The did tap this year and the girls have really improved over the past year. They dance to Elvis singing "I Just Wanna Be Your Teddy Bear". Of course, it was adorable!

Sawyer's Best Day
According to Sawyer I was the best mom ever after the day he had on Friday. See below to find out why.
Sawyer got to spray the fire hose....
he got to try on the firemen's gear....
check out the paramedics truck...
drive the big fire engine.....
ride in the passenger side of the engine and check out the walkie talkies (a new found interest)...
stand on the fire engine...
feed a baby donkey about 10 carrots....
hold a baby goat that was roaming around (gross)....
and finish the day off with a long play in the sand box.
The morning started at the fire station with our neighborhood playgroup. You all know Sawyer's interest in emergency vehicles. We then went to the farm for his preschool field trip. You all know his even bigger fascination with farm equipment. Not pictured is his ride on the tractor. By that point of the trip I was just concentrating on keeping my lunch down. You also all know about my extremely sensitive sense of smell. It was 87 degrees and VERY smelly on the farm.
Sawyer had a blast and it was great to get to spend the whole day with just him!

Easter
We had a wonderful Easter weekend and hope you did as well! Ben had Friday afternoon off so we headed downtown to the Science Center. They had a dinosaur exhibit which Sawyer loved. On the way home he told us he was a fossil and then changed his mind and told us he was a T-Rex. I think he still believes the dinosaurs in the exhibit were real because they moved and made noises. We told him they were just pretend but they really did look real.
On Saturday we had really nice weather (finally) so we spent time outside. The kids played and I sorted baby/kid clothes. I'm getting ready to purge everything baby at our city garage sale this weekend. I will have to post pictures of what my garage looks like. Words cannot describe.
On Easter we hung out at our house for most of the day and then went to my mom and dad's house for dinner. They had an egg hunt for the kids too! They made it very fair and labeled the eggs with an A or S. My brother and I used to count jelly beans from my grandparents to make sure we had the same amount. We hope you enjoyed your holiday with friends and family!

Blogcation
I've taken a "blogcation". I haven't been good about updating , especially since I post most of my pictures on FB. I'll narrate the pictures below so you can see what we've been up to over the last 2 months. Not pictured is the basement remodel. It's about 90% done. The cabinets just got delivered today for the bar. Once they're installed the granite people will come measure and install the countertops. Ben's 201 gallon (Yes, I said 201 gallon) fish tank will go in this week as well. Pictures of the basement and Ben's Ocean to come.
We got pics taken. I swear it's the last time I go to Portrait Innovations. It really is not an enjoyable experience. I know that Sawyer will never forgive me for the lavender.
Funny picture of Sawyer sleeping on "dis", while his toys sleep on his real pillow.
Snowstorm #?. There have been too many to count. During this particular one, Audrey said we should sit in our chairs and pretend it was summer. I thought that was a great idea. Too bad it was snowing so hard they could barely open their eyes and I had to carry them to the chairs b/c there was a 3 foot snow drift in front of them.
Ben and I at Boyne on our ski weekend.
Audrey and her friend Katie before their Kindergarten music performance.
These are just the Kindergarteners at Audrey's school (I couldn't even capture all of them with my camera). Thus the reason we are getting moved to a different school next year.
We've been having fun with Daisies (Girl Scouts for Kindergarten and 1st grade). I'm the assistant leader and Audrey loves it. Here she is with Haylee at the bunny shelter.
Daisy trip to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. So here you have it...I'll try to be better but can't promise anything. Things are getting so much busier as the kids get older.

Random Happenings
It's winter and things are boring so I thought I'd just post a couple of random things. Ben and I went skiing last weekend. We did pretty well but I wasn't brave enough to bring a camera on the slope for fear of falling and breaking it or myself. We stayed at Boyne without the kids. It was a very nice and peaceful weekend.
I didn't post a picture of Sawyer but he did say something very funny this week. Here's the conversation.
Me: "Sawyer get dressed right now" (as he's jumping on my bed naked).
Sawyer: "Mom, why do I need nipples" (as he is pressing his nipples).
Me: "You don't" (in a frustrated tone).
Sawyer: "Yes I DO! They make me run fast" (in an exasperated tone).
I had to crack up at that one!!
