Ski Bunnies

The crew after a long day on the slopes
Ready to embark down a Blue Square

Me, Audrey and Katie going down one of Audrey's first "big" hills.
The beautiful but somewhat scary drive up north.

Although we haven't had any snow this winter we hit the jackpot up at Boyne last weekend. They got about 20 inches they day before we came. We've spent two weekends up there this year. The kids have taken 4 hours of lessons and are doing great. Ben and I are so impressed with how well they do. We are so happy they seem to love skiing. It's such a fun sport and Michigan winters can be long and boring but when you have skiing to look forward to it makes it all worth it.

We go Up North with our neighbors. They have kids the same ages as Audrey and Sawyer so it works perfectly. Next winter we plan on getting season passes and joining the ski lodge that our neighbors belong to so we can go more often. It was awesome fun to watch the kids pick up the skill so quickly and see how much fun they had. Can't wait to go again!

Our one and only Snowman and Star Wars

This winter has sucked as far as snow goes, at least according to Audrey and Sawyer. This picture was taken about a week ago and it was the first time we had enough snow to build a snowman. There was probably about 3 or 4 inches of super wet snow.
Here the kids are before going to see Star Wars 3D. I just don't get Star Wars, never have, never will. Ben and the kids love it though. Sawyer insisted on wearing the Darth helmet so Audrey had to be princess Lea. She really doesn't have enough hair to do the bun hairdo. Sawyer told her she had "hairy puffs". Ben and I found it hilarious. The kids enjoyed the movie and Brandy and I went to see The Vow, major chick flick, but good.

Hardy Hoe Down

The Girl Scouts of South Lyon hold a dance at Hardy Elementary School called the Hardy Hoe Down. It's a Daddy/Daughter dance. They have a square dance theme with a caller and everything. Audrey loved going with Ben. She thought that was super special. He even brought her her first dozen roses. How sweet! They both came home sweaty and showed me some of their new square dance moves. It was a special time for Audrey and Ben!
