Something about hearing a 2 1/2 year old sing that just brightens up the day! We are getting more snow and Sawyer is VERY crabby today but hearing Audrey sing is sure cute. The first video is the ABC song and the second is the MSU fight song. The fight song needs a little improvement but she has 16 more years to work on it!

Uncle Ryan's Contribution

So flattering, yes this is a real picture of Sawyer at 6 weeks old, the credibility of National Geographic is another question. Somehow this looks fitting...

Audrey's Getting Sneaky

Here's a funny story about Sawyer's Bumbo seat. He likes to sit in it on the table while we are eating so he can see everyone. This morning Audrey was eating breakfast and Sawyer was in the Bumbo. He of course pooped so I took him out to change him. After I changed him, Audrey said she was done with her breakfast. I thought it was a little fast to have finished but I thought oh well, at least she ate without me bugging her. A few hours later I was cleaning up the house, picked up the Bumbo seat and found Audrey's banana and cheerios hiding underneath it! Who knew a 2 year old could be so sneaky. I sure am scared for those teenage years!

Winter in Michigan

As any of you who are reading this from MI know, this has been a VERY snowy winter. I think we've had fresh snow every week since the beginning of January. As far as global warming goes, it must have missed us here in snowy MI. Although, I'm not complaining because I'd take a MI winter over a FL summer any day!

Audrey has really enjoyed playing in the snow this winter. She loves sledding, making snow angels and all that fun stuff. She even told me today that we never eat yellow snow. I wonder who taught her that? The top picture is Ben and Audrey rolling a snowball down our hill. It ended up being about four feet tall by the time they got to the bottom. The bottom picture is the huge snow fort that Ben and Brad built in our backyard. It is now the hot neighborhood attraction for all the kids. Unfortunately, I think it won't melt until at least May.

BIG BOY!!

I just thought I would post a new picture of our little pudge ball. It seems like all of a sudden he is having a growth spurt. Today I weighed him on our scale, which is probably not that accurate, and it said 16 lbs! He keeps busting open the buttons on the shirt he's wearing in the picture. Fat guy in a little shirt!

Happy V-Day and Happy 3 Month Old!

We hope you all have a very happy Valentine's Day! Ben and I enjoyed our adult evening out on Saturday. We went to the mall and shopped a little bit. We couldn't believe how many people actually go out in the evening. It sure is different when you don't have little ones with you! Then we went to the fondue resturant and enjoyed a nice, peaceful meal where we only had to cut our own meat and didn't have to bribe anyone with a cookie to finish their dinner. The kids spent the night at my mom's house. I was very nervous that Sawyer would go back to his old ways and wake up in the middle of the night. He was a champ and slept from 9:00 to 8:00 so I guess they will be welcomed back to Grandma's. Ben and I enjoyed our quiet morning and slept until 9:30. We haven't done that for a LONG time! We were happy to have Audrey and Sawyer back at home though, the house seemed empty without them!
Just a couple quick progress notes on Sawyer. He weighs 14 lbs. He can roll over now but he still hates being on his tummy. He's still sleeping away in his swing, 10 hours. Not sure when he'll move to his bed. He laughs out loud now. He loves to kick his legs. He loves his bath and he loves to pee on me when he takes a bath!

Toddlers are VERY literal

Here is another cute Audrey story. I figured since she's been getting all the stories lately I should at least let Sawyer be the star of the new picture! Audrey's new thing is wondering where everyone lives. She always asks where her friends live or her grandparents. She asked me where she lives and I told her Great Plains Drive. She said, "No Mama, planes don't drive, they fly!" I couldn't even respond to that. All I could do was laugh and say you are right Audrey!
