Thanksgiving

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. We had both families here and cooked the feast for 13 people. I think it was our biggest year yet. Audrey was so excited to see her Aunt Emily and Uncle Rod, Uncle Ryan and Justin, both sets of grandparents and Great Grandma! She was in heaven bossing everyone around and telling them how to play with her.

We cut down our tree this weekend and did most of the Christmas decorating. Unfortunately I do not have pictures from our weekend at all. The decision to get a new camera was made for us when Ben dropped ours. It is now dead. It's OK though. We were planning on it anyways since ours is very outdated and not taking great pictures. We're ordering a new one today because I don't want to go through December without a camera. Any advice on a good one?

TWO!

On November 6 Sawyer turned 2! It's hard to believe that time goes by so quickly. On his actual birthday he got some construction trucks and a tractor from us. On Sunday we had a small birthday party, truck themed of course, and he got many more trucks, tractors and trains. He's enjoying all of his presents but the train table is his favorite. When he saw it at the party he ran for it saying, "ooo ooo oooo". Every morning he comes down stairs saying "train table". It's the first thing he thinks about in the morning. It used to be milk and now it's trains.
The 2 year dr. appointment is tomorrow. I'm guessing he's about 28 pounds or so. He's very active and doesn't care much about eating. He just doesn't have time for meals. I'll update the dr. appointment when I get some time. I know one thing, he will be strapped in his stroller in a straight jacket to avoid all the crazy germs that are going around right now!

Trick or Treat

Strawberry and Dino ready to go.
He actually liked his costume on Halloween.

Showing off her Strawberry moves.

The neighborhood gang.

Best Buddies

Zoe the pumpkin. She actually likes to wear this and gets excited when I take it out.

Sawyer having the paper from the Reese's cup extracted from his mouth.

Their loot. Audrey got 117 pieces of candy. She counted!

It was so fun to watch the kids on Halloween. It made me remember how exciting it was when I was little. Next to Christmas, I think Halloween was my favorite day as a kid. The anticipation was so exciting and then the aftermath was just as good. My brother and I would dump out our pillow cases that were FULL of candy on the floor in our den to sort and trade. Audrey and Sawyer did their own version of this with Audrey trying to steal some of his candy and Sawyer eating the wrappers as well as the candy. He has no patience for candy wrappers. Now I just need to figure out what to do with all of the candy lying around my house before I gain 20 pounds!

Preschool Party

Audrey's 4 year old preschool class. Note the large number of boys, a rowdy but fun group.

Audrey got to be calendar helper. She loves being the weather girl but calendar helper is her 2nd favorite job. She had to count all the way to 30, and did it!

Audrey telling the class about her costume, no modesty here.

Listening to a Halloween story. The pirate next to Audrey is her "friend", Alex. Much to Ben's disappointment, she says that she loves him.
