Since I'm so busy, this blog acts as my baby book and scrapbook. As time flies by, I want to document all the little things in life.

Spider Baby
SPIDER BABY!
Sawyer is still quite the climber. He now has it figured out that he can reach even higher heights by carrying stools around the house, they make him just tall enough to get on top of all sorts of things. At almost all times he has either the stool from our bathroom or the play kitchen nearby, just in case he decides he wants to climb. You may ask yourself why we let him do this. He really just cannot be stopped. If we took him down from things and yelled at him that would be the only thing we did all day. Of course, once he gets too high we do remove him. He is very skilled and never falls. I think he's bound to become a member of the circus.
Sawyer had his 15 month check up last week. He is very hard to handle at the doctors office. He screams the second a nurse or doctor even looks at him, let alone touch him. This is a new experience because Audrey was not this way. He clings on me like a baby monkey and they have to pry him off. It's kind of nice in a way though since he never wants to sit still on my lap. At this appointment he got a couple shots which caused a few hours of crying later that evening. Let's just say it was a LONG night. He weighs 23.8 lbs and is 31 1/4 inches., about 50% for both. His pumpkin head still remains large and orange, in the 85%, thanks Papa Hatcher!
He is still eating everything. He eats a ton so I am surprised he doesn't weigh a little more. I think he is just so active that the calories melt away. He is saying many words - ball, papa, dada, milk, door, go, Zoe, cracker, car and more I just can't think of at the moment. He also likes to make sound effects for animals and anything with wheels. I love his car and truck noises. Audrey never did that, such a boy thing!

Audreyisms
1. "Shiver me timbers means pirate in Spanish."
2. "Is it yesterday today."
3. "Where should I go if the sun falls on top of me?"
4. "I'm going to marry Sawyer so he can be my dad."
5. "Some big clocks have little chickens that pop out and say cuckoo."
I keep remembering more things that she has said in the past few days. I think I am going to be really happy I'm recording these little tidbits when she's older...not sure what she'll think.
Recent conversation:
Audrey: Do you know what wee-wee is?
Me: (Thinking to myself) "Are you crazy...all I deal with all day is wee-wee! Of course I know what it is." (What I really said) "No, what's wee-wee."
Audrey: "It's a weed that grows in the ocean."
Me: "That would be sea weed."
Audrey: "Oh..."

Milk Confusion
Most kids, at some point or another, ask about where milk comes from, which often leads to other questions better left unanswered. Audrey is slightly confused about the milking process. Apparently she thinks you can milk a giraffe or a "baby cow" by pulling it's tail.
Lately she's been talking about this subject a lot. She also has been pretending to be pregnant by putting her stuffed animals up her shirt. She lays on the ground with a blanket covering her and says she's waiting for her baby. She makes a funny face, kind of like she's in pain or maybe constipated, she then tells me that she's angry. I understand, I was usually angry while waiting for my babies to come too.
