New Nephew and Final Four

It's been an exciting week around the Rapp house. On Thursday, March 25, we welcomed a new member to the family. Emily and Rodney are the proud parents of Carraig Lawrence Eddy. He weighed in at 7 lbs 14 oz and was 21 in! We are all so excited to meet him. Audrey can't believe she finally has a cousin!

Not to over shadow the arrival of the new family member, it must be noted that the Fabulous Spartans of MSU have had a great run in the tourney. That's what happens when you're born right in the middle of March Madness. They've had a couple heart attack inducing wins over the past couple days. Once again they've made it to the Final 4! Spartans always make March a fun time for State fans! GO GREEN!!!

From the mouths of babes...

Two funny stories, one from each kid. We'll start with Sawyer:

My brother and I were driving to the mall and getting off 1-96 in Novi. Sawyer kept repeating, "Goat over there, goat over there," many times in a row. We knew there couldn't be a goat in the middle of 1-96 in Novi, and if there was that little goat was in real trouble. Finally I looked in the car next to me and sitting in the passenger seat was a giant, taxidermied deer head staring right at us. It did kind of look like a large goat. It was really creepy, but hey, that's the crazy hunters in MI, what more could you really ask for than a giant dead deer looking you straight in the eye while driving on the expressway! Needless to say, Ryan and I got a big laugh over that one.

And for Audrey's story, a funny mix up of some Taylor Swift lyrics:

Audrey loves playing Band Hero because it has 3 Taylor Swift songs and she is starting to get into all of that pre-teen music stuff, even though she's not even five. Let's start with the original lyrics of the song Love Story by Taylor Swift -

Taylor says, "I talked to your dad go pick out a white dress."

Audrey's interpretation of those lyrics being shouted loud and clear into her microphone, "I talked to your dad go pick out a mattress."

What else can I say, pretty hilarious. Now I just need to get that one on video.
