Pentwater

Getting ice cream in downtown Pentwater.
Jumping in the hole that daddy and Uncle Brad made.

Ben coined this the "Daddy Barge".

Last weekend we went up to Pentwater with the Wards. Our kids LOVE this trip. Audrey and Tyler get to share a room and stay up late. Sawyer's not so lucky...he still gets to sleep in our bathroom in a pack and play. He barely fits in that thing but we don't trust him on his own yet.

We had a great time at the pool and Lake Michigan. I couldn't believe how warm the lake is! Usually I won't even get in past my big toe but I think I made it all the way up to my waste this year.

Thanks to the Wards for having us! We're off to the Great North again this weekend for our week long vacation on Otsego Lake. We can't wait!

Red, White, Blue & Birthday

We had a nice (HOT), 4th of July. The Wards came over for a BBQ and campfire. The next day we celebrated my birthday. If you look closely at the cake you can see that Ben put two groups of candles with three in each group. He thought I was turning 33! Thanks alot! Oh well, I guess if I'm 33 then that makes him 34!

White Trash Bash

The couch being dragged down the street. This was NOT my idea.
Look at Ben's scary expression. He looked like this all night. I think his IQ went down to about 60.
Some of the guys letting off steam. The lawyer, the doctor, the insurance agent, the engineer, the pilot and the city planner all getting back to their white trash roots...too funny.
Some of the girls. My neighbors are awesome!

Normally my posts are sweet and innocent and have everything to do with the kids. However, I do feel the party we attended last weekend was blog worthy. My neighbors, who I should mention are both doctors, decided to host a White Trash Bash. It was very entertaining. I'm also a little embarrassed to say that we all had fun dressing up as "white trash". I thoroughly enjoyed wearing slippers to a party instead of uncomfortable shoes. The party was complete with White Castle cheeseburgers, Spaghettios, Boone's Farm, Natty Light and Cheese Whiz. We also brought out some of our old couches to relax on in the backyard. This then turned into a couch on wheels being strapped to the back of a pick up and dragged around the sub. I won't tell the rest of the couch story, don't want to leave any incriminating evidence on the blog. Let's just say the couches are no more and it brought us back to our MSU roots.

GOOD TIMES! Who knew we'd make such good white trash?
