VICTORY for MSU!!

After a six year losing streak the Spartans finally did it! GO GREEN! This is the first time in Audrey's lifetime that our Spartans beat the Wolverines. She was caught up in all the excitement as you can see from the expression on her face. All the kids were decked out in green, the parents were too! We all anxiously watched the clock tick down, as the Green Guys have been known to give games away in the last quarter but we finally held on to the win this time. With most of the party being Spartan fans it was a nice place to enjoy the victory.
Looks like MSU is bowl bound and U of M will be lucky to make it to the Motor City Bowl, ha-ha!

Update

We've had a lot going on. Here's the latest:

**SPARTANS: You probably noticed I have not mentioned any thing about our beloved Spartans. I didn't want to even bring up their name since the season had been going so well, in fear that I might curse them. I didn't even mention U of M's hilarious and pathetic loss to Toledo!! Never in a million years did I think I'd get to harass my brother with that one, especially after Appalachia State! I thought an opportunity like that would only come once in my lifetime. In typical Spartan fashion, they screwed up all on their own. We took the kids up to MSU on Saturday to tailgate for the Ohio State game. Although the tailgate was much more sober and quiet than we were used to, we all had a great time. The campus was beautiful with all the fall colors, the day was a perfect fall day and then the Spartans took the field and looked worse than U of M!! You all know the outcome of the game so we won't discuss that here. This leaves us all a little scared for this Saturdays game, the one that really matters! Stay tuned....

**SAWYER: He's getting VERY close to walking. He'll take a couple steps if he's not paying attention but as soon as he realizes it he sits down. I tried to capture him on camera but it was too hard to do alone. The video is still cute though. He will stand for a minute by himself until he gets bored and then crawls away. He has also turned into an even bigger piggy at meal time. It is actually very easy for me because whatever we are eating for dinner I just cut in small pieces and he eats it all. Today at lunch I think he ate more than Audrey and Tyler combined!

**ZOO BOO: On Sunday we went with Brandy and Brad to the Detroit Zoo for their annual Zoo Boo. The kids got to do a little early trick or treating and try out their costumes. Audrey's life now officially revolves around candy. I feel a little guilty but I can get her to do or eat just about anything with the promise to pick a piece of candy out of her pumpkin, works for Tyler too. No need to bribe Sawyer though!

Great Wolf Lodge

This past weekend we went down to Sandusky, the birth place of yours truly, to stay at the Great Wolf Lodge. It was Dru's 4th b-day party, good job setting high expectations Katherine and Dave! You can see the girls enjoying all of Dru's very girly presents. The waterpark was fun for all the kids, even Sawyer enjoyed it. He was brave in the water and would stand on his own. I even got him taking a step on the video camera. Audrey loved a lot of the slides, as long as they weren't dark. She has developed the common three year old fear of dark places. She really liked going down the big tube slide with Daddy. Sawyer enjoyed climbing on whatever he could climb on, even if he really wasn't supposed to be climbing. A great time was had by all and Audrey can't wait to go back sometime this winter!

Pumpkin Time

On Sunday we went to Erwin's to get our pumpkins. Audrey wasn't worried about getting a big pumpkin like most of the kids, she just wanted one that she could carry all by herself. So, we got two big ones and one baby one. We can only wait with great anticipation to see what kind of pumpkin creation Ben will carve this year.
On another note, Sawyer is 11 months old! Not too much has changed. He got 3 teeth this month. Taking the grand total to 7. His hair is getting thicker and redder by the day, hopefully that will change! He only takes one nap now, in the afternoon. I have never heard of an 11 mo old only taking one nap. The kid just isn't a day sleeper. I think he is now saying "Zo Zo" when he sees the dog, not sure though. It happens a few times a day but it's hard to tell between baby babble and real words. He's definitely saying da-da and ma-ma sometimes. He walks holding onto one of my fingers but won't let go. He can push the shopping cart on the wood floor now and goes pretty fast. He still doesn't have the balance to walk solo. My guess is around his b-day he'll be walking. Can't believe our little man will be one next month!

Fall is in the Air...

As you can see from the pictures, it is getting chilly here. The picture of Jack, Audrey and Tyler was taken at the Palace during Disney on Ice. Audrey loved it! Leave it to Disney to make it just a little scary though. Mickey and Minnie got captured by a giant robot so Audrey has been pretending to be Minnie and reenacts the capturing scene.
On Saturday we went to the Pumpkinfest here in South Lyon. It started out chilly, our first frosty morning, so we had to break out the winter gear. I'm not sure what Sawyer thought about being transformed into a stuffed sausage. By 10:00 we could shed the coats and hats and it turned into a great fall day. There was a big parade and a carnival thing afterwards. Audrey loved the parade the best because they threw candy and I think her world now revolves around candy, just wait until Halloween! She also enjoyed all the moonwalks at the carnival. I think they had about 6 or 7 different kinds. Ben actually had to go rescue her from one of them because the climbing wall was so big. They definitely didn't make bouncy houses like that when we were kids!

Crazy Kids

Here are some of the latest antics - Audrey and Tyler have a new found love for everything in my cupboards, big mess. They love to run around with bowls and pots on their heads. Audrey says that Tyler is the "Daddy Construction Worker" and she is the "Mommy Construction Worker". In the other pic, all I can say is poor Zoe. Audrey likes to pretend to be Cinderella and because Zoe is still slightly more cooperative than Sawyer or Tyler, she gets to be the prince.
Other happenings include, Sawyer taking a few, very unsteady steps on his own. He also says Da-Da when Ben comes in the room. Why do they always say Da-Da first? Audrey is still loving school. She goes in and never looks back. She has stopped calling the teacher's assistant Mrs. Coconut and now calls her by her correct name, Mrs. Supernant. Also, Audrey got a giant mosquito bite next to her eye which required a dr. visit. The thing was so big that her eye was actually swollen shut. She's on the mend now after some doses of Benahdryl. That's all the news from here!
