Bugs

Here's a cute story - Audrey hates bugs. She is now in luck. Sawyer is her assassin and protector from all bugs. If she sees a bug she tells him to go get it. He immediately says, "I get bug, Audee." He takes his shovel from the sand box, smashes any bug he sees and then steps on it, just to be sure it's really dead. He then says, "Bug all gone, Audee." It is very cute. You won't here me reprimanding him for squashing the bugs. The less bugs the better! She will call him to come get a bug no matter where he is at. I'm just glad she doesn't call me. I know where she inherited her disdain for creepy crawlies!

Let the Countdown Begin...

Well, I should actually say it began in January. On Friday at 8:02 am Ben and I will be on our way to Puerto Vallarta! Our friend Erica is getting married there and we decided we were in need of a vacation. It's been about 6 years since we've had an adult getaway so we are due. The kids will be with the grandparents. They'll be sharing the duties. 3 days for my parents and 3 for Ben's. I hope they don't regret it!

Easter Festivities

Below are some pictures of the kids from Easter. We had a low key weekend because Ben and I both had pretty bad colds. We were very fortunate and had great weather with temps in the 70s so we were able to be outside all weekend. The Easter egg hunt happened so quickly that I forgot to take pictures until the end when they were digging through their baskets. Every year they get quicker and quicker!

4 going on 13! Audrey loves her Taylor Swift CD and I have to say it's much better to listen to than all of her other kiddy CDs.

We thought our State egg might bring good luck. We made it to the Final Four but were still very disappointed by Saturdays game.
Audrey couldn't figure out why every time she dipped her egg in yellow and then blue, it mae green. I told her to ask her Uncle Ryan about that. MAIZE + BLUE=GO GREEN!!
Sawyer got to do some eggs this year. He did a good job!

March Madness

This is what happens when I try to run upstairs to switch a load of laundry. I am assuming this was all started by Sawyer since Audrey has never colored on herself before. Everytime Sawyer gets a hold of a marker he is turning himself into some kind of war hero. Sometimes the younger sibling does teach the older one something.
